Beloved China
Introduction
"Beloved China" is a prose written by proletarian revolutionary Fang Zhimin in 1935 during his imprisonment. About the Translators:
Haila, Associate Professor, Ph.D., Visiting Scholar at Peking University, and Head of the Translation Program at Hohhot Minzu College. She graduated from the University of New South Wales (UNSW) with a Master's degree in Translation. Her research focuses on multilingual translation practice and pedagogy, as well as sociolinguistics. She has led three provincial-level research projects and participated in a major national social science fund project. She has published three monographs and three translations. She was awarded first prize in a provincial-level teaching competition for young university teachers. She has served as an interpreter and translator for numerous international conferences and events, including the 14th Winter Games, the 2nd National Northward Opening Economic and Trade Negotiation Conference, and the opening ceremony of the 2024 National Northward Opening Think Tank Forum, demonstrating her excellent multilingual translation skills.
Sumiya, Lecturer in the Translation Program at Hohhot Minzu College. She graduated from Josai International University with a major in Tesol. Her research interests include English teaching methodology, cross-linguistic teaching, and sociolinguistics. She has published two translations and more than 10 academic papers in domestic and international journals, and has led or participated in 16 research projects. She has long been engaged in English teaching and research, committed to enhancing students' English practical skills and cross-cultural communication abilities. She has participated in multilingual translation practices for several important social activities, including those related to the Belt and Road Initiative and the National Northward Opening Think Tank Forum, accumulating rich practical experience.
